Stock up your home!
There are lots of different options for buying grocery. 1. The closest convenience store is 7-Eleven which is right on 34th and Lancaster Avenue. Though it does not hav all that you need for a perfect grocery stock, it has most of the stuff that you require for your day-to-day needs ranging from gum to salts to midnight snacks to breakfast bagels. Interestingly, it is claimed to be the most profitable 7-Eleven on the east cost. 2. The closest option for groceries is Fresh Grocer's on 40th and Walnut, where the Drexel Blue and Gold Shuttles go. It has a great assortment of everything from meat to vegetable to yoghurt to seasonings to cereal and pulses - everything you could ever need. It even has a small drug counter though if you need drugs the better option is CVS on 35th and Walnut. 3. Super Fresh on 44rd and Walnut, also on the Blue and Gold shuttle route is a little farther off, but at the same time considerably cheaper than Fresh Grocers for branded and packaged food. 4. There are 2 white trucks you can see on the corner of 44th and Walnut where farmers from New Jersey directly sell a variety of fruits and vegetables. Very fresh, much healthier than the frozen food at Fresh Grocers and extremely affordable, especially fruits like fresh strawberries, peaches and grapes. Dont miss out on the seasonal fruits and vegetables Philadelphia has to offer, straight from the farms! 5. For Indian groceries, there is the Indo-Pak grocery store on 43rd and Walnut and the Rice & Spices on 43rd and Chestnut. These stores have a great range of items ranging from Indian spices to Indian movies to Indian Sweetmeats like Ladoos and Rasgullas. Certainly..worth checking out!!!! |
